“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8

At a time in history when it seemed that the entire world had turned their backs

on the plight of the Jews, there was a family in Amsterdam who did everything

in their power to protect and to provide for their Jewish neighbors and friends.

They took seriously Jesus’ commandment to love your neighbor as yourself, to

show mercy and compassion to those who are afflicted, regardless of the cost

involved or the sacrifice that might have to be paid.
